Teaching Experience
As shown below, overall, I have a fairly broad range of teaching experience, and these lecturing and teaching roles have involved music programme management, curriculum design and lesson planning and delivery in a variety of learning contexts. Since January 2000, I've taught students of piano, voice, double bass, saxophone, trumpet/flugelhorn, flute, clarinet, guitar and drums (which I played semi-professionally in my teens and twenties).

— of piano, to learners of all ages (5+), for London Music Academy, based at Sir George Monoux [Sixth Form] College in east London (E17)
— an effectively blind, young adult singer with additional severe learning disabilities, for Tower Hamlets Leaving Care [Social] Services
— as a distance-learning tutor for the Open College of the Arts on their Composing Music I and II courses (focused on western classical music)

— of musicianship and music appreciation skills as curriculum leader and teacher of Tower Hamlets College's music enrichment programme
— as a guest–lecturer at the Slade School of Fine Art (London), giving a historical and comparative presentation of the music of my primary jazz mentor, the renowned tenor saxophonist Warne Marsh
— of numeracy, literacy and as a supply teacher, music and other National Curriculum subjects
Classroom Teaching...
— of the National Curriculum for Music in outer- and inner-London state comprehensive secondary schools (Key Stages 3, 4 and 5), such as at Debden Park High School (Loughton, Essex)
— For a more comprehensive understanding of my classroom and group teaching experiences beyond the particulars given above, please contact me for details, as I would typically be happy to send my relevant CV.
I hope this has been helpful and encouraging. If you have any questions or wish to enquire about lessons,
I'd be very pleased to hear from you (020 8530-0710 / 07985 763-072),
